La Salida tells the story of Samuel, a resident of a wholly evicted Puerto Rican neighborhood.

 

When Samuel witnesses this mass eviction, he is brought face to face with the capitalist commercialization that is brought into the island. These circumstances creep into Samuel’s once-steady life which he tries to avoid so he is safe from having his home taken away from him. Once all is lost, he realizes they might take his home but never his traditions or memories.
